in Henry County Public Schools?
If you are interested in becoming a substitute teacher in Henry County Public Schools, you must complete an on-line application. The minimum documented requirements for substitute teachers in Henry County Public Schools include all of the following: a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and pass the Para Pro Test and attend a substitute teacher orientation. Henry County Public Schools provides monthly substitute teaching orientations. Substitute teachers must also provide a tuberculosis screening certificate upon applying. In addition, Henry County Public School will conduct a full criminal background check, which includes fingerprints, as well as a registry check with Virginia's Child Protective Services.
Substitute teacher daily pay rates effective July 1, 2010 include the following: Non-Degree $55; Associate's Degree $60; Bachelor's or Master's Degree $70; Retired Teacher $100; Long-term (beginning on the 10th day) BS/BA/MS $90.
After all the necessary documentation is provided to the school district, the substitute's name will be placed on the district's list of approved substitute teacher. NOTE:

· Substitute teachers are required to take a TB test (tuberculosis)
· Substitutes must have at least a high school diploma and pass the Para Pro Test
