     FAFSA Applications

    Attention Seniors: FAFSA applications are now open and that means it is time to apply! As stated on the FAFSA website, some states and schools have limited funds so don't delay. What: Free Application for Federal Student Aid Who: Seniors looking to attend a 4 year, 2 year or trade school following graduation When: October 1st,2020 -June 30th, 2021 Where: https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa (Links to an external site.) Why: Apply to receive assistance with paying for college Stay tuned for information regarding our upcoming FAFSA Night and other helpful tips.     MVHS Scholarship Website

    Attention Seniors: This is a reminder to stop by the MVHS scholarship website for information on scholarships. Scholarships are updated as they are received. Links to the scholarship site can be found on the MVHS homepage under the counseling tab or on the 12th Grade Guidance Canvas page. See Ms. Varner or Ms. Prillaman if you have any questions.


     SEED Fund Applications

    Seniors - Interested in free college? Applications for the SEED fund sponsored by the Harvest Foundation, opens Monday, October 19th. Students may apply at www.patrickhenry.edu/SEED. For more information, contact Mrs. Rorrer, your PHCC Advisor located in guidance.


    JRF Scholarship

    Attention Seniors:  The JRF scholarship application is now open.  Visit the MVHS scholarship page to apply to this scholarship and more.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.


    Community Foundation Scholarship

    Attention Seniors: Just a reminder that the deadline for the Community Foundation Scholarship application is Friday, January 15th, 2021. Please be sure that all application materials are submitted prior to the 15th.

    Attention Seniors: Patrick Henry Community College will be hosting a Virtual Program Showcase through the month of February.     Granville P. Meade Scholarship

    The Granville P. Meade Scholarship provides financial assistance to students who have achieved academically, but who are financially unable to attend college. The Granville P. Meade fund provides scholarship awards to worthy and financially disadvantaged Virginia high school seniors to attend one of Virginia's public or private colleges or universities.     M'ville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Scholarship

    The Martinsville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, will be awarding $1000 to one senior from each local high school. Please visit the MVHS scholarship page to apply.


    Virginia Latino Higher Education Network (VALHEN) Scholarship

    The Virginia Latino Higher Education Network (VALHEN) is now accepting applications for the 2021 Scholarship program. This scholarship program is dedicated to assist Latinx/Hispanic undergraduate students to pursue higher education within the Commonwealth of Virginia. Scholarship awards are for one-year and will be paid directly to the recipient’s college or university to cover tuition, books, and/or fees. If you need additional information, please contact the Scholarship Coordinators via email at scholarships@valhen.org.

    Kappa Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Scholarships
     
    Attention Seniors: The Kappa Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. awards academic scholarships to qualifying seniors from area high schools. The scholarship is based on scholastic achievement and need. A minimum grade point average of 3.0 or 88% on a numerical system is required. Visit the MVHS scholarship page to apply.
