    Junior Dues Calling all class of 2021 students!  Pay your class dues before Christmas break to avoid a price increase. Junior dues, 40 dollars, Room 17. Again, junior dues are forty dollars. Pay in room 17 before Christmas break!


     

    Henry County/Martinsville Retired Teachers Assoc. Scholarship Attention: Henry County/Martinsville Retired Teachers Association will be presenting (2) Magna Vista students with a scholarship. Senior's planning a career in public education should stop by to see Ms. Varner regarding this scholarship opportunity.


     

    Senior Dues Attention Seniors: Remember your senior dues are currently $30.00. After Christmas break, the cost goes up to $40.00.


     

    National Honor Society Salvation Army Service Project On Saturday, December 7th and December 14th, the National Honor Society will be teaming up with the Salvation Army for the Battle of the Bells! We will be competing with Martinsville High School to see who can raise the most money for Martinsville Henry County. Seniors, are you looking for service hours towards graduation? Come donate 2 hours of your time for a good cause. See Mr. Schaller in room 31 to sign up!


     

    French Club Christmas Party French Club will have their Christmas party on Monday, December 16th in room 5 from 3:30 to 4:45. Join an optional dirty Santa gift exchange by bringing a $5.00 wrapped gift.


     

    National Honor Society Toys for Tots Drive The National Honors Society is currently sponsoring the Toys for Tots drive at MVHS. From now until December 13th, we will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for the children of Martinsville/Henry County for this Christmas. Our goal is 250 new toys. Please bring your toys to either Mr. Schaller's room 31 or leave them in the drop box in the office.


     

    Appeal Forms / Excuse Notes Please get in your excuse notes AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! If you have missed 6 or more unexcused days for the semester, please see Ms. Holland in the front office to get an appeal. All appeals will be due by Friday, December 13th. Teachers will be handing out exam exemption forms in the coming days. All exam exemption forms will be due by Friday, December 13th. They area to be turned in to your teacher. Do not bring them to the front office.


     

    2020 Spring Mucial Auditions Auditions for the 2020 Spring Musical "Freaky Friday" will be held December 16th and December 17th. Anyone may audition. Those interested should sign up outside room one and pick up a musical audition approval form. See Mr. Dunn for questions regarding what is needed to try out.


     

    Josten's Representatives (Class Ring & Graduation) The Jostens class ring representative will be here Thursday, December 12th for the Class of 2022 Class ring ceremony. Final balances must be paid during all lunches with cash or money order; (No Personal Checks). Students can call 1-800-JOSTENS to pay with credit card by the end of the day Dec. 11th. The Class of 2022 ring ceremony will begin @2:15 in the cafeteria. Students to be excused will be on a list emailed to teachers. Refreshments will be available after the ring ceremony. New Class ring orders can be placed with a $75 deposit. Seniors! If you have not ordered your graduation items, you can do so during lunch as well. Last in school chance!


     

    Martinsville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Scholarship Attention: The Martinsville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is please to offer one $1,000 scholarship to a graduating MVHS student. The student must have a 2.5 GPA or higher and plan to attend a four-year college or university in the fall. Please see Ms. Varner for more details.
