•  I attended Longwood University where I earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in special education. This is my 25th year in the classroom where I have served as both a regular education teacher and a special education teacher. I have spent instructional years in Roanoke City, Rockingham County, North Carolina, and Henry County.  While in Virginia, I have spent my years working with special needs students across the curriculum.  During my time at McMichael High School in North Carolina however, I spent several years teaching general science classes such as Physical Science, Earth Science and Biology.  My passion lies in the success of my students whether it be in the science, math or the inclusion classroom.  I want each student to reach his or her full potential, grow to become life long learners and become productive citizens in the community.  Each student has individual needs that must be met and it is my pleasure to work with them to ensure that those goals may become a reality.
