• Welcome to Mrs. Martin's Music Class!
We are the Music Makers and we are the Dreamers of Dreams quote
I am beyond excited to be here at Sanville (and Stanleytown) Elementary School this spring! Henry County has been my home my whole life. I graduated from Bassett High School in 2009, and Radford University in 2013. Previous to my job in Henry County, I worked in the Patrick County School system for two years as the 4-7 general music teacher. When I am not teaching at Sanville or Stanleytown, I am teaching private clarinet lessons or working with the Bassett High School Marching Band in the afternoons. I am so dedicated and passionate about music and the children of this county -  it has been my dream to come home and continue to be a musical influence. I have a supportive husband, Tommy, and a precious pup - Marley, who make my time not teaching complete. We are so excited to be welcoming a daughter, Rhiannon, to our family in the coming weeks! While I am out on maternity leave, I will have a fantastic long-term sub, Ms. Leigha Truini. At Sanville, Mrs. Cheryl Hobbs will continue the children's choir on Monday afternoons after school, from 2:45-4pm.
