Welcome to my webpage!  I am a former student of Henry County Schools, Laurel Park High School class of 1993.  After attending Patrick Henry Community College, I transferred to Averett University where I received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education in May 1998.  I was lucky enough to get hired at this time by Henry County.  My first year of teaching was third grade at John Redd.  During the spring of 1999, I began working on my Master's of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction through Radford University.  I successfully completed this program in May 2001.   After one year in third grade and six years in fourth grade, I moved to fifth grade where I taught for 14 years.  The 2019-2020 school year will mark my twenty-second year of teaching. 

I am the proud mother of two amazing boys.  Dylan is a senior and Colby is a sophomore at Bassett High School.
