Mrs. Kathy Scott

I am a 2015 graduate of Liberty University Online, and I have teaching experience working with special needs students at the high school level within Collaborative/Inclusion classes. Prior to obtaining my degree, I had 5 years experience working with autistic and severe/profound special education students as a paraprofessional. Three years ago Staunton River High School offered me a teaching position within Inclusion/Collaborative classrooms while I continued working on my Master’s Degree. This past summer I received my license to teach and was offered the TID Special Education position at Stanleytown Elementary.

I love working and playing with kids! I aspire to use my love of interacting and caring for all children to create a positive and encouraging school environment at STE. By giving them the learning tools they need now, they can grow and eventually become confident and responsible members of our society.

When I'm not working, I love spending time with my family, going camping (RVing), and making arts/crafts.
