AP can change your life. Through college-level AP courses, you enter a universe of knowledge that might otherwise remain unexplored in high school; through AP Exams, you have the opportunity to earn credit or advanced standing at most of the nation's colleges and universities.
Henry County Schools offers the following AP courses:
- English Literature
- English Language and Composition
- Calculus
- US History
- US Government
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Psychology
- Spanish Language
- French Language

Additionally, students may take AP courses online through the Virginia Virtual Advanced Placement School. These courses are offered at no charge, and the AP test fee is waived for all students who take AP courses online.
Online courses provide students with an opportunity to take AP classes not taught at MVHS. These courses include: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Human Geography, European History, and Physics B (second year high school physics).
