Welcome to what I hope will be an exciting school year at Fieldale-Collinsville Middle School. As part of the 7th grade, students are required to take the Virginia Standards of Learning Test in English, Pre-Algebra, and Science plus Civics and Economics. Last year, our students were very successful on the SOL tests. However, we will be looking to continue improving on our scores in all areas. Hopefully, our school can once again reach the necessary state and federal requirements for accreditation through the cooperation and effort of students, parents, and teachers. Students in my class will be taking Civics and Economics. Civics and Economics can be very demanding subject and requires plenty of hard work for even the best students. It is strongly recommended that each student spend time each night reviewing the current class notes. This will not only help student achievement in classroom activities, but on the upcoming SOL test.
