I have worked for Henry County Public Schools for 13 years and for the last seven years, I have taught Kindergarten at G.W. Carver Elementary. This is my eigth year teaching kindergarten. I graduated from Averett University in Danville, Virginia with a Bachelors of Science, Elementary Education Degree and with a 4.0 GPA. I am a licensed teacher for the state of Virginia. I love making learning fun for my kiddo's.
I enjoy learning and teaching, as well as spending time with my family. I am married and I have one daughter, Amanda. I love animals, I have a calico cat named Jinx and a Yorkie dog named Romeo. This past summer I sailed to Bermuda. I am the youth leader at my local church, Faith Fellowship of Bassett. My favorite color is "hot" pink. I collect Christmas ornaments and children's books (HUGE book lover!). My favorite thing about teaching kindergarten is teaching children to read. If you can read, you can learn how to do anything!
I am looking forward to a great year!
