Scholastic's READ 180/System 44 Programs
READ 180 and System 44 are scientifically research-based intervention programs that make significant gains in reading proficiency for the students who need it. It includes comprehensive instruction, purposeful assessment, and data-driven instruction in a systematic program to break the cycle of failure causing students to "do a 180" or complete turn around in their reading (&/or learn the 44 common sounds for better decoding first).
Class Description: An intensive reading intervention that is scientifically research based to accelerate reading achievement, using the READ 180 or System 44 program to address individual needs through adaptive and instructional software, high-interest literature, and direct instruction in reading and writing skills.
