Summer Meals

Henry County Public Schools offers a variety of ways for students to have nutritious meals not just while school is in session, but over the summer as well.

Summer School/Summer Activity Sites

If your child attends summer school or one of the summer activity sites like a Boys & Girls Club, the YMCA, or MHC after 3; you can still get weekend meals by signing them up for the mail delivery service. Children who are at weekday sites will receive intermittent mail delivery boxes with the same 7-day meal menus, but should save the meals to be eaten only on the weekends or days they are home for breakfast/lunch.

Feeding Sites

Breakfast, Lunch, and snacks are available for pick-up at several locations across Henry County and Martinsville. A comprehensive list of feeding sites can be viewed on the Feeding Sites page.

Summer Meal Boxes

Henry County Public Schools is offering Direct-To-Home Meal Boxes this summer for all children ages 1-18. All families who sign up for the program will have meals delivered directly to their homes via UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Families received an online registration link via ParentSquare on March 29 and paper registration forms were also provided. The survey will remain open for more children to be registered throughout the summer and the program will end Aug. 8, 2026. Call 276-638-1159 for help with an application.
