Little Henry Routine
Little Henry Routine
Little Henry staff members believe that learning is an ongoing process 7-days per week. Success in school requires a collaborative effort between the home environment and school personnel. Each week, your child will bring home a communication form that will briefly describe his/her day. The form is designed to help parents readily converse with their child about his/her experiences in preschool. This activity will help improve the child’s communication skills and build his/her vocabulary. Below is a description of the structured activities that are provided each Friday.
My Friday Routine:
Arrival (Put away my backpack, Bathroom break, Speech play activity)
Breakfast (Eat in the cafeteria with my friends)
Gym Time (Gross motor play activities)
Classroom (Fine motor play/art activity, Group music, Story time, Individual IEP goals)
Outside Time (Variation of structured activity and free play; weather permitting)
Lunch (Table time for conversational speech)
Departure Time (Bathroom break, Pack belongings, Leave via bus/car)
All daily activities are designed to build communication skills, enhance social skills, work on individual education plan goals, and teach basic school readiness skills.
