Online Learning Week of April 20-April 24, 2020:

An invitation has been sent to all of you. You must use the link in the invitation to join from now on.  We will only have Google Meets for English on Mondays and Wednesdays. This Wednesday's meet may be cut short because Mrs. Strayer will be visiting my home around that time.

 

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. 3 Choices on Weekly Assignments Doc: Due 4/22- I am attaching a document that you must choose your weekly activities from.  It is the same document I attached last week. 3 activities will be due via email by Friday night each week.

2. Thesis Thursday: Due 4/23- I am attaching the Thesis Thursday document for the rest of the year. Pay attention to the due dates at the top of each page. You are all familiar with these assignments.  I will also put this in ClassKick in case you would rather do it there.  You may submit it in ClassKick or email your Thesis to me by Thursday night.

3. Introductory Paragraph: Due 4/24- Use your Thesis you completed on Thursday to write a full introductory paragraph. Be sure you include a hook, a bridge, and your thesis. You may submit it in ClassKick or email your Introduction to me by Friday night.

 

INTERIM REPORT REMINDER:

If you received a FAIL on any assignment listed on your interim report, this means you had not submitted the assignment to me before the interims went out. I will be updating grades throughout the week with assignments as I receive them.

YOU CAN STILL GET A PASS FOR THESE ASSIGNMENTS AS LONG AS YOU COMPLETE THEM AND GET THEM TO ME!

REMINDERS!

• If your Poetry Performance Task (due April 3) has not been completed on ClassKick by Friday, April 17, it will appear as a FAIL on your Interim Report. 
• Interims go out Friday, April 17.
• You must email your three questions and answers for the Weekly Activities document by 11pm on Friday.
• Check your school email daily!

I miss

your smiles,

your laughter,

your enthusiastic mischief.

I miss

the smell of construction paper

breakfast pizza,

Expo markers,

and counterfeit Takis.

I miss

high fives and fistbumps,

dabs and woahs,

and warm hugs.

I even miss

your screeching,

your horseplay,

and your texting under the desk.

I wake up everyday

missing my students,

and go to bed each night

hoping they are

safe,

happy,

and healthy.
