I am excited to work with you and your child this year! I know we are going to have an amazing year together. To tell you a little about myself, I graduated from Radford University with a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. This is my sixth year at Carver and I have loved every minute! I have a sweet dog named Abby who is spoiled rotten. I love coffee, shopping, and watching sports. I look forward to meeting you and your child and forming a relationship with both of you. :)
School Skate will be on Thursday, December 5th from 5:30-7:30 pm.
We will be having a Winter STEM Night on Thursday, December 12th from 5:30-6:30 pm.- Each week, a Homework Sheet is sent home on Mondays and is to be returned on Fridays. There are five activities on the sheet, one for each night. Please make sure you initial each night that your child is completing the activities. There are also weekly reminders on there for you as well!
- Please make sure you review the spelling words with your child each week. We have our spelling tests on Fridays. They will be sent home on the homework sheet.
- Dolch Sight Word Booklet- There will be a Sight Word Booklet sent home. These are to be practiced over the week and I will test the kids on Friday morning. Start at the Pre-Primer List. If your child does not know the word of get the word wrong, I will circle it so you know to keep working with them on these words. Try to work with your child on learning 5 words at a time. There is no rush to complete them all. This is deisgned to take all year. :) You only have to send this back on Fridays!
