• Welcome to the future Meadow View Elementary School!

As the principal, it is my mission to ensure that all students are given many opportunities to achieve at their highest level.  Through differentiated instruction, the use of the latest technology, continuous relationship building between staff and students, and hard work and determination, I firmly believe that all students can grow academically and socially.

This year is going to be exciting!  Collinsville Primary and John Redd Smith Elementary Schools are beginning to operate as one school, sharing administrators, some staff members and a PTO between the two buildings.  It is anticipated that the two schools will move into the new Meadow View Elementary School in the fall of 2018.  Our new school will be located on Figsboro Road, Martinsville , Virginia.  Stay in touch to track the progress of our beautiful new facility.

If you have ideas, questions or concerns regarding our schools, please contact me at 647-7676 or 647-8932 or by email at jedmonds@henry.k12.va.us.

Welcome to 2017-2018.  It’s going to be a great year!

The decision to promote or retain a student is based on the student’s academic achievement with consideration given to social and emotional maturity, age, and attendance pattern. It is the expectation that all students pass the core classes of English, math, social studies and science. The final determination of grade placement is made by the principal on an individual basis and in accordance with board policy.
