• Meet the Teacher!

Welcome to Mrs. Foley's English class! I am so elated that your child has been placed in my class. This is the start of an awfully big adventure and we have so much fun in store for us in the 2019-2020 school year. I cannot wait to get to know you and your student. Together we are going to begin the middle school academic journey in such an exciting way. I encourage communication and I hope that you can be as connected as possible in the classroom. We will be using class dojo! Please know that my number one goal is for the children to feel at home in my classroom and to create a safe learning environment in which they are confident and learning is fun. We are going to take advantage of all things technology and we are going to get creative! I hope that you all feel just as home as I already do in my fourth year at Laurel Park. I am originally from Fredericksburg, Virginia where I taught my first year in Spotsylvania County Public Schools. I student taught in Radford City Schools. I am a Radford University Alum which is how I met many of my friends from the Henry County area including my husband. I am the oldest of three. I have a younger sister who is 22 and a brother who is a Junior in high school. Family and laughter is so important to me. I am a lover of candles, coca cola, sunshine, and all things aqua. I adore trees and succulents, my english bulldog Finnegan, and my son Miles. I could go for ice cream or hibachi just about any time of the day. I spend my free time traveling, taking pictures, and watching movies at the theater on those cloudier days. I love kids. Teaching and coaching soccer are my passions. I feel extremely blessed to be at Laurel Park Middle School. Some of my best memories were in middle school and I can’t wait to experience those with the students. Thank you for all of your support this year!
