Block II English 12- Students all received copies of Ray Bradbury's "Something Wicked This Way Comes". There are 54 chapters in this book, but they are short. Please read two or three chapters a day, and for each chapter I need you to keep a log. Write a 3 to 5 sentence reflection/summary for each chapter. Just work through it and we will see where we are at the end of the two weeks.
Block III English 12 AP- Students are to finish their novel 1984-about 137 pages left p.130-267. Try to finish this up this week . I will have a 7 page packet that goes with this that I will try to get to you next week. When we return we will discuss and do study guides before the final. For next week, begin reading "Wuthering Heights". It has 34 chapters and requires a close read. Try to read at least half of it before the 30th when we are to return. If we dont, we will address the next phase.
As you read "Wuthering Heights" keep a log to turn in. Write 3 to 5 sentences of a reflection/ summary (what the heck is going on?!) for each chapter.
If you are taking the AP test, go online and take some practice tests. Also look closely at the Open Essay and familiarize yourself with the novels on the lists and look them up and see what they are about.
Block IV English 12- Students received copies ofFlowers for Algernon." There are 17 progress reports/chapters and are rather long. Please write three bullets with summary/reflection for each progress report. We will discuss before we test on this.
