Extended Closure Resources
Below you will find the SOL Practice Checklist that was sent home in the extended closure packets. These packets were sent home on March 12, 2020 prior to the extended closure. Should you or your student have any questions or concerns for me, please don't hesitate to contact me either through Class Dojo or at email@example.com
Below you will find additional review activities that students can do to continue their learning at home. These are activities that students can access with their iPad/ phone/ or other internet accessible device.
I wanted to take a moment to share with you some activities that your child can do at home that are "review" activities that will help them study the material that has been learned this year.
These activities are similar to activities we have done in class that students seem to enjoy. Another positive of these activities are that they will provide your student with immediate feedback on how they're doing. These activities are completely optional, but will give them more opportunities for practice. You will find the activities and how to access them below.
- Boom Cards! - for this activity students should go to the site wow.boomlearning.com
From there students should choose to sign-in as a student with their Boom account. Their username is their name followed by their lunch number. Their password is abc123
Boom cards are interactive cards where students will answer various questions and it will tell them right then if they're correct or not.
- The next activity is having students go to joinmyquiz.com and type in this code: 770188
This is a review activity that will allow students to practice all the Virginia Studies material we've learned up to this point in the year.
- Lastly, IXL is always a great review activity. Students should be able to login through their classlink app on their iPad. If that is not working, please contact me for your students login information. Some 4th grade IXL skills I would focus on would be for math: A.2, A.20, B.4, C.4, D.4, D.6, D.7, E.13, R.2, R.4 and for language arts: A.2, B.1, C.1, D.3, E.2, F.1, H.3, I.1, K.1, FF.3
Again, these activities are optional and are also available for students to use throughout the remainder of the school year. Please let me know if you have any questions. As always, thank you for your support!
