Hello! I am Ms. Brubaker and I will be teaching 8th Grade English this year. I just moved back to Franklin County after 3 years away! I graduated from Franklin County High School in 2012. I graduated from Ferrum College with a degree in English Literature with a double minor in Mass Media and Communications, and Russian. I left Ferrum and immediately went to The College of William and Mary to earn my Master's of Education in Secondary English Education. Once I graduated I spent a year in Newport News teaching at Gildersleeve Middle School. I then moved to Roanoke to teach at Addison Middle School. Once quarantine hit, I moved back to Franklin County and I am excited to be teaching in Henry County this year! 

A little more about me, I have four pets and I will talk about them constantly. I love to hike and even though I didn't get to go much this summer, I am hoping things will be open in the fall. I also love to travel and I usually go visit friends in other countries during spring break!

I am so excited to have you in my class and I look forward to making the most out of this year.
