Please submit these activities to your student's homeroom teacher when they return to school. If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher.

Stay safe, and we look forward to seeing your child back at school soon!

Literacy At Home

When weather events prevent students from attending school in person, families are encouraged to make reading part of their virtual learning day. HCPS offers free books located on the first floor of the Administration Building and on the third floor in the lobby. Families are welcome to stop by any day we are open and take a book or two home.

Save these books for virtual learning days and encourage your student to read for at least 15 minutes each day. Time spent reading helps build skills, spark imagination, and bring balance to days spent indoors. Opening a book can take a child anywhere their imagination is ready to go.
